“Streaming Heart” Deco*27’s amazing new song and PV! (English/Romaji/Kanji)

The exciting buildup to Deco*27’s new Conti New album continued to build today when Deco*27 released another new song, arranged by kous, and this time collaborating with artists Gagame and Yuma Saito to create one of the best Vocaloid PV’s I have seen in a long time. Before we go any further feel free to check out the song and it’s translation below. The original is here.

For those of you looking for it you will find the Romaji, Kanji, and English linked below. There have also been a lot of questions about “what does it all mean?” and while no one but Deco*27 (and maybe not even him) can provide you with a straight answer, here are some of my thoughts on the meaning and the translation I provided:
I want to apologize for before, but after spending hours and hours thinking it over, having an epiphany by looking closely at the song name (Streaming HEART), and then rehashing it in my head several times over, I want to provide an improved translation and interpretation of the song. Basically this song is the girl’s heart trying to talk to her saying “though you might be getting conflicting messages from me, we need to get out of this relationship” (quite possibly the one-sided and abusive one depicted in Mono Poisoner, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AqB8W2UdF8). In her heart is that “inner voice, warped and twisted by this love” that is mentioned in the lyrics, now crying out for escape. The more I thought about it, I believe the “aimai” is the same kind of meaning as “aimai” (“love-lost” in Aimai Elegy, basically expressing the hopes of the girl’s heart for the ending of this relationship (possibly symbolized by the strangled, choked off heart in the background). You can see the relationship problems depicted in the song by the way the boyfriend shuts the girl up (the bandages) when she tries to speak out. Basically the girl’s heart wants her to settle on wanting to leave the guy and break out of the cycle of hurt she is repeating. It’s likely the reason she blushes in excitement when the girl takes the crowbar, she is thinking “It’s finally here! I have a chance to be free!”. I’m not sure about Miku as shown interacting with the man and the difficult lyrics cryptic lyrics there, but you could argue that in some way it is all a bit performance by her heart to manipulate the girl into finally ending things. At the end the guy seems to realize that the girl is finally set on leaving him and tries to force her to stay (the bandages) but she’s finally resolved to be done with it.  In the final scene with the punch you basically have that relationship full of happy and sad memories exploding and mutating in a singular finale and the girl’s heart guiding her on the path to finally “ditch” (punch) that guy and end things.

“Streaming Heart”

English Lyrics

Though I seem to say many things,
Please try and seek out real me
In the space between truth and lies,
Hidden away so well
For a like-minded pair who are no good alone,
Being together is what grants happiness
But coming to hate the connection which was made
Saying “You’re better off alone”
These feelings which just can’t be settled
What conclusion will they arrive at, I wonder?
As recompense for nearly drowning,
Finding oxygen to breathe once more
“You’re a weakling, aren’t ya?”
This falling feeling
Can be so pleasant…
I want to pull down the curtain on this love
An inner voice
Brutally warped by this relationship
I will aim for a “love-lost” ending to the story
Me giving rise to a sense of hatred would be a great success
For a like-minded pair who are no good alone,
Being together is what grants happiness
But coming to hate the connection which was made
Saying “You’re better off alone”
Anyhow, if there was just another of me over there,
Well then surely happiness could be found
Today I’ll play the girl,
Taking things to a foolish extreme
Knowing that this is egoselfishness
But nevertheless unable to stop it
I want to pull down the curtain on this love
An inner voice brutally warped by this relationship
I will aim for a “love-lost” ending to the story
Me helping to foster a sense of hatred would be quite the success
I want to reach that final goodbye
For existing as this “me”
Is the opposite of fun
I don’t exactly want to get carried away,
But things being as they are…
Having said many things
Please try and seek out real me
In the space between truth and lies,
Hidden away so well

Kanji Lyrics (http://www5.atwiki.jp/hmiku/pages/28773.html)
